About Corbett
W elcome to the jungle! Jim Corbett National park which is named after a very well known author and wildlife conservationist Jim Corbett and houses one of the most endangered species of the animal kingdom, the Bengal Tiger. Corbett lies in the Nainital & Pauri district of Uttarakhand. Corbett comprises a massive 500 sq. km. of grasslands and dense forests which are a natural abode for the innumerable species of animals and birds found out there.
Corbett is an absolute delight for wildlife lovers and adventure freaks with its diverse landscapes and enigmatic rivers. Kosi and Ramganga are the two main rivers in Corbett.
T he main attraction of Corbett is the various kinds of Safari’s which can be done there. As private vehicles are not allowed inside the park to prevent poaching, the government gives you a lot of options to enjoy the wild. The most amazing of them all is the canter ride which takes you to the core of the jungle, which is also called as the Dhikala zone.
Corbett gets pretty cold at night during the winters but the days are warm & sunny. Comparatively the temperature in the National Park remains moderate. Lately there has been a lot of effort towards eco tourism to protect the unique wildlife in Corbett.
